What is ugg boot sizing like?

Posted on by James Yang

Ugg boots are probably the most comfortable piece of footwear you are ever likely to own. Soft, warm and super satisfying, the humble ugg is always a delight to slip on. As with any shoe, making sure you get the right ugg boot size is your number one concern.

When choosing the perfect pair of uggs, there are a few simple things to keep in mind to help you get it right.

Uggs will stretch slightly as you wear them

In the first few weeks of owning your new pair of uggs, you will notice a small amount of change in the snugness, as the both the internal lining and external material softens and gives a little. This is perfectly normal, and you may notice it more so in your uggs than in a regular pair of casual shoes.

If your uggs feel a little tight when you first try them on, especially with socks, remember that they are super soft and will mould to the shape of your foot over time.

Socks make a difference

Planning on wearing your favourite pair of thick winter socks inside your new uggs? A great idea for those extra chilly nights, but you might want to consider going a size up if this is you.

Tall boots will reach above your calf

If you are considering a pair of our tall uggs just remember that your calf will be enclosed within the boot. If you are the standard Tall Ugg and your calves are slightly larger in proportion to your feet, you might prefer the laced, button or zip options for maximum comfort.

Stick with what you know

Your previous shoe shopping experience is the best guide for ugg boot sizing. You might have noticed in the past that your feet may be wider than average, particularly when you have tried on a pair of formal/business style shoes that don’t tend to have much give. If this is the case, you are better off giving yourself a bit more room, rather than having your uggs too tight.

UGGExpress sizing is true to International standards

Our size guide is inline with international standard sizing, so if you are comfortable in your size and don’t have any issues with your day to day footwear choice in that size, stick with the size you normally wear in all of your shoes.

If you know your feet are slightly wider than average for the length, play it safe and go one size up.

If you still aren’t sure what size to go with, we recommend taking a barefoot centimetre measurement of both feet from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe and use the larger of the two. Then refer to our size guide to get your size.
