Wear Your Uggs on the 1st of June and provide warmth this winter to vulnerable families
We’re so excited to present our new partnership for this year's Wear Your Uggs Day with the national Christian charity Mission Australia to support their incredible work in helping those experiencing homelessness in Australia.
Census 2021 data released by the Australian Statistics Bureau showed there are more than 122,000 people who are homeless in Australia and homelessness across the nation has risen by 5.2% between 2016 and 2021. The majority of these people are experiencing what’s called hidden homelessness. Hidden homelessness refers to people who are staying in severely overcrowded dwellings, refuges, boarding houses, or who are temporarily living with friends or family. Even worse, this data was collected before the current cost of living and housing crisis, which is pushing many into homelessness and is anticipated to result in an even greater need for support nationwide.

This year's Wear Your Ugg Day you can make a difference to help people that are facing tough times, especially during the colder months.
By purchasing a pair of ugg boots to rock on Wear Your Uggs Day, 10% of the sales will be donated to Mission Australia which will go towards supporting those who need it. Make sure to order a pair from the Wear Your Uggs Day collection as soon as possible so that it arrives in time for the 1st of June.
If you purchase your shoes on the 1st of June, we will also donate a pair to Mission Australia to give to someone in need. By participating in this year’s Wear Your Uggs Day, you are actively supporting a great cause and bringing much-needed products to those who may not have access to them.

With the recent increased cost of living and housing crisis, there is all the more reason why we need to make a change as more Australians are struggling and facing the risk of becoming homeless. Ugg Express and Mission Australia are eager to make an impact and help people at their time of need.
